The Third Annual James Sawers Jr. Interfaith Speaker Series was held on October 11-13 in Charleston. Our speaker was Dr. Rabbi Reuven Firestone, professor of Medieval Judaism and Islam at the Hebrew Union College and affiliate professor of religion at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. He has written over 100 scholarly articles and eight books. He regularly lectures at universities and religious centers throughout the U.S., Europe, the Middle East and Asia. 

Rabbi Firestone offered various lectures, workshops and informal discussions throughout Charleston.
